How many people do you see with earbuds in…on your commute, in the gym, walking the dog? Podcasts are gaining in popularity and are unique in the depth of their offering.
Thanks to the magic of bluetooth, we listen (some would say obsessively) all day to a variety of podcasts when we’re not producing them. In the shower, in the kitchen, in the car. By creating conversations grounded in authenticity that engender a sense of openness and community, our podcasts have proven to be an incredibly helpful tool for internal comms. In particular, during times of transformation/merger where cultural divides can only be breached with something far more compelling than the traditional company newsletter. We believe a regularly scheduled internal podcast can serve as an audio “water-cooler”, bringing people together, giving everybody a voice, creating a platform for good news to be delivered or elephants in the room to be addressed. People like to listen – so we produce podcasts they’ll enjoy listening to and connect with.
Most of our podcasts are for internal comms and therefore, not publicly available. However, our commission for the Royal Bank of Scotland was produced with the consumer in mind and is available to stream or download.
You can’t expect your employees to engage with a video during their work day unless it looks, sounds and feels like the television programmes they watch once they get home. Anything less feels amateurish and, frankly, is a waste of time and resources.
